Last day of fasting. This was a tough day. Just wanted food so bad. The smoothies helped but by the end of the day I was very irritated aynd hangry. I cant wait to go to bed on these days. I just kept thinking to myself that it was the last fast day, I can do it. Just the strawberry smoothies all day with egg protein powder, strawberries, unsweetened almond milk and vanilla extract. I used blueberries for my last shake of the day. I had 4 cups of this smoothie total for the day. I opted not to exercise because I didnt want to waste any energy. I know its working though because I can see the difference now when I put I shirts. Not as tight. Its a good feeling. 3 more days, cheers….
Ive renamed the diet im on the intermittent 5:2 diet with smoothies on the 2 fast days and 0 carbs on the other five. I just cant do the bone broth anymore. Today some had noticed that I dropped some pounds and that felt pretty good. For a this Wednesday I had leftover steak with an omelette for breakfast. I bought pork rinds from the grocery store to snack on. They arent my favorite things but they will do during this diet. I had chicken breast and asparagus for lunch. Today was a run day with my running group and I felt again that I didnt have enough energy. I only ran 4.2 miles but it felt like 10. I did hill repeats right before so that might have a contributed to my low energy. Plus it was very humid out so that might be an excuse as well.
The running group decided to go to mexican again for dinner….UGH! Its getting harder to ignore those chips! I had tequila and club soda on the rocks to drink. Instead of fajitas this time, they have an egg dish with chorizo so I got that and added jalapenos. It was good but I wanted those beans and rice as well but I got through!!!… Just a few more days and I will be having those things again. In moderation if I can. Its tough. Thursday is my last fast day and I cant wait for this to be over. Cheers….
One of two final fast days. I made a smoothie with egg protein powder, almond milk, strawberries and vanilla extract. I sipped on this all day instead of the bone broth. Like i said i know you are supposed to do the bone broth on this diet for the fast days but I just cant do it anymore. It was a little tough to get through the day but I made it. Im so glad I have only 5 days left and only 1 of those being a fast day. I know I can do it. Cheers…..
I was so excited to get up and weigh myself this morning. I got up and got on the scale. 3lbs! 3lbs! Thats all I lost for the week. I was very disappointed after losing 11lbs the week before. That was the only thing bad that happened. The good news is that when I went running today, I actually felt good and I actually had the energy to run 5 miles. I had my omelette in the morning for breakfast. Since it was Memorial Day, I decided to cook out. I made some ribeye steaks on the grill. Thats all I had for lunch, a big ribeye. Then for dinner I had leftover steak with some eggs. I seem to be having eggs a lot but they are so good. And easy to cook. I only have a week left, Im pretty sure ill make it without eating one carb. Cheers…..
I been feeling pretty good. Still want my carbs though. The one thing that still disappoints me is my lack of energy when running, Its really disappointing. I have one more week to go and I hope this low energy thing that Im feeling gets turned around. I had my omelette for breakfast, bison burger, no bun, for lunch and another omelette for dinner. No snacks. I feel lighter but I feel like I havent lost any inches off my waste. I only have a week left so we will see at the end how this diet fairs. Cheers….
Well today was probably the hardest day of the whole diet. I went golfing in the morning and this was the first time I couldnt drink any beer while golfing. (tough for me) I also was nervous about what to get to eat at the turn. I ended up getting a hot dog, no bun. I know you arent supposed to eat hot dogs on this diet but I was hungry and I didnt have many options. If that wasnt hard enough, I met some friends for dinner and we went out for mexican. NO TORTILLA CHIPS!!!!!! It was so hard, I love mexican but I couldnt have the chips, beans, rice, tortillas and margaritas. Basically everything thats good at mexican. I ended up eating some spoonfuls of guacamole and queso. I got the chicken fajitas and ate just chicken and the peppers and onions with a little sour cream and salsa. I made it through but it was very tough. Chips and salsa is gonna be one of the first things i eat when Im off this diet! Cheers…..
Feeling good. I can tell my clothes are fitting better, things arent so tight. Im just keeping no carbs. I havent had the bone broth in awhile. I think its easier without it just because I got so sick of it. I thought today when I woke up I would be so hungry because of the fast day on Thursday but I wasnt. I didnt eat til about an hour after I got up. I had my usual omelette with the turkey chili I froze and some salsa and hot sauce. I had some pork tenderloin and asparagus for lunch and Im sad to say I had about 6 or 7 glasses of whiskey for dinner and no food (i think). Its still going good. I feel like I can complete this diet in the 21 day time frame. Cheers…..
Another fast day for me today. They are getting easier as the time goes on. I have completely given up the bone broth. I just cant stomach another cup. Which is a shame too because I have so much broth that I bought. To get me through the day, I make the shake recipe she has in the diet book but I use egg white protein powder instead of hers. I made three cups made out of the powder, vanilla extract, strawberries and almond milk. It was good and I sipped on it throughout the day. It helped me. I didnt feel hungry until the end of the day, right before bed. Its been getting easier to do the diet and I feel lighter but Im resisting the temptation to weigh myself until Monday. I plan on some runs on the weekend, I hope the energy aspect changes. Also this keto breath has gotten bad so I purchased some keto breath mints, that are expensive but I want to have great breath. Day 10 and moving right along. It was a day after a fast day and I thought I would be so hungry when I got up but I wasnt. I didtn eat til about an hour after I got up and I had my omelette with mushrooms and the turkey chili again. I am done with the bone broth so the only snacks I had was tea, water and the habanero pork rinds. I had a chicken breast for lunch with half an avocado. Dinner was another chicken breast with mushrooms and banana peppers. I also had one glass of irish whiskey and water, lots of water. This diet makes me thirsty. I can have a weird taste in my house, almost like I can taste that i have bad breath. I dont like that side affect. I also dont like how I have no energy when i run. I ran 3.5 miles and it was so so hard. I ended up walking a bunch. I just had no energy. That amount of mileage should have been no problem for me Hopefully that changes soon. Cheers…..
Im done drinking the bone broth on fast days. I cant drink it anymore. It makes me uneasy just thinking of drinking it. Since it was a fast day, I needed something besides just tea and water to drink. I decided on a low carb smoothie. I got a 20 ounce and managed to make it last all day. Not bad. I was a little hungry but I made it ok. I was able to run 3.5 miles with no problem. I actually feel pretty good. I do miss tortilla chips though. I cant wait to eat real food again. I feel the weight coming off and I feel lighter. I am gonna wait to weigh myself again come Monday. Cheers…..
